Truck driver dies in hospital

The partially submerged truck on Friday night.A TRUCK driver whose B-double semi-trailer ran off the Hume Highway and into a dam on Friday night has died in hospital.

Phillip Jackson, 59, from Carrum Downs, received CPR at the scene of the accident for more than an hour before he was transported to Albury hospital where he died on Saturday.

Police are investigating and will prepare a report for the coroner.

They are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Albury police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
